How to Repair a Power Cord

Everyone has their moments with damaged power cords whether due to bad animals hungry for anything, weed-eating adventures gone wrong, or being ripped from pulling on them too hard. Repairing a power cord is easier than most would think and less costly than buying a new one. Some simple tools needed to splice a power cord are a knife, wire strippers, wire cutters and electrical tape. Start by cutting the on each side of the fray, or far enough back from each cut side to give you a clean start on the cord. Using the knife, slice the cord so about three to four inches of the wires are exposed.
Each wire is color coated and wrapped separately. The wires will be matched by color when reconnected. Use the wire cutters to expose the individual copper wires that will later be spliced together. Once the individual wires have been cut and exposed with the wire strippers, match one of the colors with the same color from the opposite piece. For example, match the green wire to the green wire from the opposite side and then twist these wires together. Wrap the electrical tape around the green wires. Do the same for the other wires until all wires have been wrapped with its color coated counterparts.
With all wires wrapped together in individual wraps, press them all together and wrap them together from one end to the other. Make sure you wrap it completely from one end where the slice in the power cord is to the other end leaving no portion of exposed wire. Once the power cord is completely wrapped from end to end, test the cord. Plug in the power cord to something that uses power, and is known to be operational beforehand, and test to make sure power is getting to it.

How to Apply Liquid Eyeliner Like a Pro

The look of liquid eyeliner is sleek, in style, and has a high impact on your eyes. Liquid eyeliner does not smudge or work its way into the creases under your eyes once it has dried. However, the nature of liquid eye liner makes it difficult to apply. It does get easier with practice.

Before you begin using liquid eyeliner, you need to choose a liner that you can work easily with. Look specifically at the length and width of the brush handle. You will be using this tool on your eye. If it is too long, you will lose control. If it is too short, you may not be able to adequately see what you are doing. The wand also need to feel comfortable in your fingers.

To begin applying liquid eyeliner, begin by drawing the lines that you want with a pencil first. It is best to use a comparable color of pencil to the liquid eyeliner. For example, if you are going to use black liquid eyeliner, use a black pencil. Draw the line on your eye with the pencil where you want the liquid liner to appear. Start with something simple like a simple line on the top and bottom lids. Once you get the hang of using the liquid liner, you can more to more dramatic looks like cat eyes or smokey eyes.

After you have lined your upper and lower lid with the pencil, switch to liquid. Trace over the top of the lines drawn with the pencil. Try to move in one long brush stroke across the top lid. The fewer brush strokes you can use, the more smooth the line will appear. For a thinner line, apply very slight pressure and use only the tip of the brush. For a thicker line, apply a bit more pressure and use the tip and side of the brush. By applying the pencil first, you will find that the liquid liner becomes much more forgiving. You can take your time and practice getting the line just right.

Keep in mind that liquid liner is wet. After applying the liquid liner, close your eyes and allow a minute for the liner to dry. Repeat the same steps for the bottom lid if desired.

Applying liquid eyeliner doesn’t require professional skills, just practice. Keep using the pencil liner as your guide until you are comfortable with applying the liquid liner without the guide. Enjoy the sleek, professional look that liquid liner gives you!

How to Tell if She is Interested In You

1. Eye Contact – If a woman is interested in you, she will make eye contact with you while she is talking with you. If she is looking around t room, looking at your cleavage, or looking down, she isn’t making eye contact and isn’t showing interest. However, not making eye contact can also be a signal that she is shy or not confident in herself.
2. Body Language – Folded arms or sitting slightly turned away are signs of dislike. Arms that are uncrossed or turning her body slightly towards you are signs that she is interested in you.
3. Touching – If a woman is interested in you, she will find a way to touch you. She may brush against your arm, or hook her hand into your elbow as you walk.
4. Listening – When a woman is interested in you, she will listen when you talk. You can tell if she is truly listening because she will indicate that she has listed through her conversation. She will ask about something you just said or bring up something you have said before. For example, on your first date, you mention you like to go fishing. On your second date, she asks if you have been able to go fishing lately.
5. She demonstrates his interest to others – When introducing you to her friends or family, she will move closer to you or touch you such as putting her arm around you or placing her hand on your shoulder.
6. She picks up a new hobby…yours – If you mention something you enjoy doing, she will want to join in. If you mention you like a particular band, she will listen to it. She will read a book you suggest. She will try a new type of cuisine.
7. She will do something she doesn’t really want to do – If a woman is interested in you, she will go hiking or fishing with you or watch the game with you just to be able to spend time together.
8. She will care about her appearance more – A sure sign of interest from a woman is a more conscious attention to her appearance. She wears a color or shirt you like. She wears perfume. She gets a hair cut .
9. Listen to the rumors – Rumors don’t get started by themselves. While rumors are not a sure sign of interest as they are just rumors, if you hear from several people that a woman is interested in you, she probably is.
10. She will tell you. – Yes, it can be as simple as that. She will just tell you she likes you. She will make plans to see you again before you have finished the date you are currently on.
