For me, the worst part about planning a get together or party is I always forget until too late to send out invitations. Big brother’s birthday was back in May. He still hasn’t had a birthday party because I simply haven’t planned it. I couldn’t find invitations we could agree on. Then I got an e-mail from Purple Trail.

Purple Trail offers a variety of services. You can create your own party invitations, e-cards, and announcements. There is an animated option as well as the option to add voice and video. There are songs to choose from or you can record your own voice.

The first project I needed to tackle was the long overdue birthday party. I got my 4 year old and we whipped out this simple yet fun invitation in about 5 minutes. Most of that time was spent waiting for him to decide. Here is the invitation we came up with. When his friends open it, it sings Happy Birthday.

As the birthday party invitation was so easy, I decided to see what else on my To Do list I could tackle. Next on the list was invitations to an Avon party my friend is hosting for me. I was able to create an invitation that far exceeded my expectations. Not only did I create a fantastic and eye catching invitation, I was able to have a URL dedicated to my announcement that tell me how many people have RSVP’d. Even better, it allowed me to include an option that lets invited guests invite other people. The announcement page also includes a link to my Facebook page and an event map. If you have a direct sales business, you can’t beat Purple Trail for ease in growing your business.

I did not find a bereavement category for e-cards. However, you can create your own e-cards from scratch as well using the embellishments and tools available on the Purple Trail website. Purple Trail also offers party ideas, wording suggestions, and printable games. There is a design contest with $500 in prize money available. The contest ends on August 15th.

Overall, I was highly please with my overall experience with Purple Trail. I was able to complete several items on my To Do list as well as begin a new segment of growing my Avon business all in about 15 minutes.
